OxygenOS 14: OnePlus phones have 2 hidden privacy features that every user should know
Hidden Unlock Patterns Track for Screen Lock
The name itself suggests what this function does. It will let you hide the unlock pattern track on the phone lock screen. You will find this option in the settings menu of OnePlus phones. After enabling this feature, when using the pattern unlock method, the screen no longer displays the actual pattern, thus protecting your privacy and increasing security.
Users can easily activate this feature by going into the ‘Settings’ menu, selecting the ‘ Security & privacy > Device unlock > Screen lock’ option, and turning off the ‘Show track’ feature.
Hide Notifications During Screen Recording
Alternatively, OnePlus phones also have a feature to hide notifications during screen recording. This feature helps during the screen recording process, as incoming notifications and messages can interrupt the recording and potentially expose sensitive information. To enhance this privacy, OnePlus offers a “Hide Notifications” option specifically designed for use during screen recording.

After activating this feature, all incoming notifications will automatically stop while the screen recording is in progress. Notably, once the recording is complete, “Hide Notifications” will be disabled, allowing normal notifications to resume.
To enable this feature, users should navigate to Settings >> tap on the Additional Settings >> click on Screen recording >> select the ‘Hide notifications’ option >> tap on the toggle to turn it on.
