According to Android Headlines reports Samsung is going to offer an impressive seven years of software support in the Galaxy models. The information is still not confirmed whether it means security fixes or full Android and One UI updates. But if it means the second option, this announcement will bring mass developmental change to the Android realm, setting a benchmark for other manufacturers.
Google announced seven years of software and security updates for its two devices, during the Pixel 8 launch last October. At that time, Samsung made an extension for security updates, while the info regarding Android and One UI updates is undisclosed.
