The most affordable smartphone ever, the Nothing Phone (2a) is set to be officially launched on March 5. As we get closer to that date, the mid-ranger can’t stop itself from getting leaks left and right. Recently, official renders of the Nothing Phone 2a have been leaked online on the Nothing community, showing it in two colors – Grey/Black and White.
This matches up with earlier leaks and teasers from the company. It sports three Glyph lights around the camera, minimal bezels for the screen, and a lack of a wireless charging coil. Although its design is transparent, Phones (1) and (2) are said to use plastic backs rather than glass backs, which is possible to cut costs.
Nothing has already been verified that the Phone 2a will be powered by the Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC co-developed with MediaTek, and the phone will have up to 12GB of RAM and up to 8GB of virtual RAM with a RAM Boost feature. Moreover, the company also broadcasted an AnTuTu score of 7.419 lakh for the phone 2a.
Although we get a slightly occluded view of the screen, the bezels seem positively tiny, and are also symmetrical in the Nothing custom– it’s great to see that such details weren’t cut in the service of reaching a lower price point. For a lighter panda look, the power and volume buttons are opposite on the white version of the phone.
We still have over a week until the phone launches, so we can expect more specifications in the coming days.
