Verizon is rolling out new One UI update for two Galaxy A series device

Samsung has started rolling out a new software update to the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G and the Galaxy A42 5G smartphones running on the Verizon network in the US. The software update brings January 2024 security update in March 2024 to these devices, which fixes some known bugs and issues.

The new One UI update related to the March 2024 update focuses on boosting device performance, adding improvements, resolving common bugs or glitches, and enhancing stability to provide users with a more secure experience.

The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy A23 5G and Galaxy A42 5G has started receiving the January 2024 security update in the USA. The update comes with firmware versions A236VSQS3CXB2 and A426USQS8EXB2 and is available on Verizon and more carriers may be released soon in the coming days or weeks.

The new One UI update includes the January 2024 security patch that fixes approximately 75 security-related vulnerabilities found in the previous software version. It does not introduce any new features or performance improvements.

If you have a factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy A23 5G and Galaxy A42 5G in the US, you can now check for the new update by navigating to the Settings app on your smartphone and tapping on the Software update menu. Now, push the Download and Install key and follow the onscreen instructions.
