We’ve entered March, which means the wait for tech enthusiasts and Galaxy fans for Samsung’s next affordable phone is over and rumors about the Galaxy S25 lineup have already started hitting the web. A recent information suggests that Samsung is planning to use all the Exynos processors used in the Galaxy S25 series.
Previous reports claimed that Samsung Electronics will implement FOWLP (Fan-out Wafer Level Packaging) on the Exynos 2500 (tentative name) processor that will be included in the Galaxy S25 series. With this, the lineup will be released in the first half of next year.
A new rumor from a recent leakster on X (formerly Twitter) has some bad news for those who love Samsung’s Snapdragon chipset series. According to this source, at the current stage of development, Samsung is preparing for the whole Galaxy S25 line to operate its Exynos SoCs – given the history, we guess this means the yet-unannounced Exynos 2500.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will only employ Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets, while the entry-level and mid-range Galaxy A series will sport a mix of SoCs from MediaTek and Samsung in 2025.
The Exynos 2500 is expected to be impressive as multiple reports have claimed that the Korean tech giant has created a separate team to optimize its next-generation in-house Exynos chip and the upcoming flagship Exynos chip will reportedly be from Samsung. The foundry will use the second generation of 3nm manufacturing process and Arm’s Cortex-X5 CPU cores will reportedly be faster than the CPUs on Apple’s A/M series chips.
