One UI 6.1 testing underway for the Galaxy S22 in the US

Recently, Samsung revealed that the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S23 series will come with the March 2024 security patch in Korea. The latest announcement indicates to us that the company will launch the next big update to last year’s flagship smartphone lineup later this month. In a recent development, a test build of One UI 6.1 has been spotted for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series.

According to a screenshot that surfaced on X via @theonecid, a test build of One UI 6.1 has been spotted on a test server for the Samsung Galaxy S22. Testing is underway with firmware version S90xUSQU4EXC5. The report suggests that testing is underway for the US market.

The Galaxy S22 series is not the only device on which Samsung is testing One UI 6.1. The company is also testing the update on several other Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5/Flip5, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy A73, Galaxy A53, Galaxy M33, Galaxy A52s, Galaxy A25 5G, and others.

Samsung has confirmed that the One UI 6.1 with Galaxy AI features rollout is to begin this month, initially for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy S23 FE.

The company will start rolling out the One UI 6.1 update for its flagship Galaxy S23 series devices late next month. However, the official release date of One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S22 series is not known yet, but it is likely to be in April or later.
