Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G gets March 2024 update

Following the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung has now seeded another S series model namely the Galaxy S20 FE 5G with the enhancements and fixes of the March 2024 security update. It’s an initial rollout and the patch is currently live in Brazil, however, it will expand to more region users in the coming days.

The new security update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is now available in Brazil, and that means it could expand to other countries soon. The firmware version of the update is G781BXXS9HXB4 and its download size is around 253.54MB.

This update brings system security and some performance or reliability improvements. Moreover, The March 2024 security patch included in the update fixes 46 security vulnerabilities found in previous versions of the software.

The latest update for Galaxy devices brings system security improvements, stability optimizations, bug fixes, and functional enhancements to deliver a better experience. If you have a Galaxy S20 FE 5G and you live in Brazil, you should check for the new update on your device settings right now. To do this, open the Settings app on your Galaxy device and then go to Software update >> Download and install.

To recall, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G was launched in 2020 with Android 10 out of the box and the phone will get the Android 11 update in late 2020, Android 12 update in late 2021, and Android 13 update in late 2022. Android 14-based One UI 6.0 and 6.1 is not compatible so you can buy the new Galaxy S23 FE which is recently released by the company.
