Samsung Galaxy S22 grabs March 2024 update in the US

Samsung is rolling out a new update with the March 2024 security update for Galaxy S22 series smartphone users in the US. The monthly security update fixes multiple issues to enhance the security and stability of the device. It is being released in the United States for both locked and unlocked models. Also, this update has also been released for Verizon carriers.

The latest security patch for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, Galaxy S22 Ultra brings a number of fixes and improvements for Android and Samsung’s software. It fixes a lot of issues including 2 critical and 35 high vulnerabilities in Android, and Samsung also adds 9 enhancements to its user experiences, such as app lock, bootloader, and some services.

The March 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series comes with One UI build S90xUSQS4DXBG for locked models in the US and S90xU1UES4DXB5 for unlocked models. It is open on all network carriers and the company will expand it to more markets in the coming days.

You can check for updates via Galaxy device Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install. If you have received a software update, install it now to take advantage of improved security and enforcement.

Samsung is also testing the One UI 6.1 build on several other Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S22 series as well as Galaxy A series devices. Over the next few months, Samsung will release the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S22 series, but it will not include the AI-powered features that debuted with the Galaxy S24 series.
