Verizon rolls out Galaxy Note 20 March 2024 update

A couple of days ago, Verizon rolled out the new One UI update with the latest security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones in the US. Today, the tech giant is rolling out the March 2024 security update for Verizon-specific models of the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the country.

The new software update for the Galaxy Note 20 has firmware version N981USQS6HXC1, whereas the one for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra carries firmware version N986USQS6HXC1. The new software update for the three devices brings the March 2023 security patch, which fixes more than 40 security issues.

Galaxy Note 20 series phones should automatically notify users about the March 2024 update, but if you haven’t received the update, you can check for the update by going to Settings >> Software Update and clicking Download and Install. Please note that the Coren tech giant may release updates in stages. This means that some users may get the update after others.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 20 series with Android 10 in the second half of 2020. The phones in the lineup have already received three major updates since their launch. These phones did not receive the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update. So, if you are looking to upgrade from your Galaxy Note 20, take a look at the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
