Some popular Galaxy devices won’t get One UI 7.0 (Android 15)

No matter how good a company’s software support is, no gadget lasts forever and there comes a time when every smartphone stops receiving updates. With Android 14, various Samsung devices ended major upgrade support, and the same happened with One UI 7 for a handful of Samsung smartphones. Here the One UI 7 ineligible Galaxy devices.

Samsung extended its software support policy from three to four years, then extended itself to three years and committed to supporting certain devices like the Galaxy S24 series with seven major OS upgrades.

Additionally, the company is expected to launch its first Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series in August 2024. The Galaxy S24 won’t be the only device to get One UI 6.0 after the beta program ends, but some Galaxy devices will not get One UI 7 based on Android 14.

Popular Samsung smartphones this year like Galaxy A72 and Galaxy A52 will not receive the One UI 7.0. Both phones have ended their glorious era of continuous software upgrades, yet, there is still an additional year of security patches remaining.
