WhatsApp lets you post videos of up to 30 seconds in your status updates, and users have been demanding the platform increase the limit. Well, Meta has heard you and is increasing the limit of videos that can be posted on your status.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to upload 1-minute videos as status updates. As of now, users can upload videos of up to 30 seconds on the forum. Therefore, this move will be greeted by users who want to upload extended videos as their status.
Till now, people had to publish multiple status updates to share videos longer than 30 seconds. With the latest WhatsApp beta version for Android, if the video they want to share is one minute or less in length, they can share it in a single status update.
At the moment, there is no information about when WhatsApp will start rolling out the latest update for the stable version of the Meta-based app. Hopefully, this will happen after the feature has been fully tested, which may take a few weeks.
WhatsApp has announced several new updates over the past few days, such as working on displaying messages when encrypted, converting voice messages into text, creating a Chat filter, adding a new search option, preventing users from taking screenshots of other users’ profile photos, letting users know when they mention someone’s status update and more.
