OnePlus Pad gets OxygenOS 14.0.0.500 update with bug fixes, improved battery life & February 2024 Security Patch

OnePlus has finally released the OxygenOS 14.0.0.500 update to the OnePlus Pad in India with bug fixes, improved battery life, and a February 2024 Security Patch. The update is around a month late, and other OnePlus phones have already started getting the March 2024 security update.

The OnePlus Pad is one of the devices that is eligible for three years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches.

The February 2024 security update for OnePlus Pad is now available in India. This firmware version comes with OPD2203 14.0.0.500(EX01) and aims to bring a lot of improvements and battery life improvements. For more info, check the full changelog below.

  • Improves system stability and performance.
  • Reduces power consumption to extend battery life in some scenarios.
  • Fixes an issue where you might be unable to switch between some apps in recent tasks
  • Fixes an issue that might cause the screen to flicker when you switch between landscape and portrait modes.
  • Fixes an issue where you might be unable to add calendar events,
  • Integrates the February 2024 Android security patch to enhance system security.

Communication

  • Fixes an issue where some information might not be properly displayed on your tablet when it is connected to your phone via Multi-Screen Connect.

However, it does not bring any new features or performance enhancements. The new features may come with the OxygenOS 14.1 update which is expected to be released in the next few months.

If you have a OnePlus Pad and live in India, you can now check for the new software update. You can do that by navigating to Settings >> Abour devices >> OxygenOS version >> Check for updates and tapping Download and Install.
