Messages with Gemini AI now available on Samsung and Pixel devices

Google has reportedly started rolling out a new beta version of the Google Messages app for Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices, which comes with the company’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot Gemini AI. This feature lets users communicate with Gemini AI to write messages, generate ideas, organize events, or simply join the conversation.

Moreover, The integration of the AI assistant with the messaging app was first announced by the tech giant in February 2024, along with a number of new features for Android devices. At present this AI feature is only for some beta testers of the Google Messages app, but later after proper support it can be introduced to more users. Until then, eligible Pixel and Galaxy device users can enjoy the impressive AI chatbot Gemini.

The beta version of Google Messages is currently available to users with some Samsung Galaxy and Pixel phones.

To use this Gemini AI feature on the Google Messages app, your Android phone’s language must be set to English or French for people living in Canada, and users must have personal Google accounts and RCS chat enabled. Users must have the latest version of the Google Messages app on their eligible Pixel and Galaxy phones.

Beta testers will be testing the option to chat with Gemini in their Google Messages app. First of all, users have to complete it with guided instructions. They can ask Gemini for help with various tasks.
