After Google and Samsung, OnePlus is finally getting AI power features to its smartphones. On April 03, the Chinese tech giant introduced its new AI Eraser image editing feature for OnePlus smartphones. The feature, powered by the OnePlus’ Large Language Model (LLM), provides users with AI-powered tools that can help them remove unwanted objects from images, similar to Google Magic Eraser.
Notably, this cutting-edge AI feature is the result of extensive research and development investment by OnePlus focusing on accuracy and reliability.
OnePlus will be gradually rolling out its AI Eraser feature for its phones, including OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus 11, OnePlus Open, and OnePlus Nord CE 4 starting in April. According to the company, its new AI-based feature will leverage the power of artificial intelligence and a series of advanced algorithms to allow users to edit images by removing any unwanted objects from the image in the Photo Gallery.
Selected OnePlus smartphone owners can use OnePlus’ AI Eraser to remove objects like pedestrians, trash or imperfections after taking an image. Once specified, the AI will examine the desired area and automatically remove and generate a replacement background that will blend into the surrounding environment of the image, while maintaining the overall style of the image similar to Google’s AI-powered Magic Eraser.
