Galaxy A52 is the first Galaxy A series phone to get April 2024 security update

The Galaxy A52 has become the first Galaxy A series smartphone from Samsung to get the April 2024 security update. Over the past few days, Samsung has released its latest security update for the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy fifth-generation foldable series.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 in 2021 with Android 11 out of the box. The phone received an Android 12 update in late 2021, an Android 13 update in late 2022, and an Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update late last year. The Galaxy A52 is likely to get OneUI 6.1 with several improvements in the upcoming months.

Coming to the topic, The latest April 2024 update for the Galaxy A52 is currently rolling out in Russia and Kazakhstan, and we expect it to expand to other countries within the next few days. The new update bumps up the phone’s firmware version to A525FXXS6EXC7 in Russia and in Kazakhstan with firmware version A525FXXS6EXC9.

The latest update improves the functionality of your device and provides better protection against threats and viruses. It also brings solutions for over 44 vulnerability exposures from Google and Samsung to maintain device reliability and provide secure and error-free services to users.

To manually check for software updates on your Galaxy device, go to your phone’s Settings. At the bottom you will find the Software Update section, just open it. If your Galaxy brings a new OTA then inside the submenu, you have to press the Download and Install button.
