Samsung Galaxy S21 users are receiving an April 2024 update in some European countries at this time, but a wider rollout should begin soon. The tardy update improves system security and stability to boost performance.
According to official details, Samsung’s April 2024 Android security patch brings fixes for a total of 44 vulnerabilities and exposures that were harming user privacy and security. More specifically, the update addresses 1 CVE leveled Critical, and 26 CVEs leveled High.
Users of Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra in Brazil can identify the February 2023 update via One UI version G99xBXXSAFXCL and an updated package size of 271.03MB. The security patch is currently rolling out in Turkey while users of S21 wait for the One UI 6.1 update.
As per the report, Galaxy S22 series users are expected to receive the One UI 6.1 update today, while the Galaxy S21 series variant is currently receiving the April 2024 patch with the One UI 6.0 version. However, the company has started internal testing and it is expected that the S21 variant users will soon be able to enjoy the features of One UI 6.1.
To install the latest updates, access System Settings and go to the Software Update menu. Once there, you should find another tab “Download and Install”, tap on it. Now, follow the on-screen instructions to finish the software update process.
