One UI 7.0 beta program

Samsung’s software experience has changed significantly since the introduction of One UI. The latest iteration, One UI 6.1, introduced a series of exciting AI-powered enhancements to Galaxy devices. Now, the anticipation has increased as the next major One UI 7.0 upgrade is also coming with the arrival of Android 15. Here’s everything about the One UI 7.0 beta program.

Android 15 entered the public beta testing phase on Pixel devices today. Samsung will also adopt Android 15 for Galaxy devices, which will be available with One UI 7.0 in Q4 2024.

One UI 7.0 beta program

Flagship Galaxy devices will get early access to Android 15-based One UI 7.0 through a beta program. However, the beta program was only available in 7 countries, including India, China, Germany, Poland, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States (unlocked and T-Mobile).

One UI 7.0 beta: is your Galaxy eligible?

The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will receive One UI 7.0 beta in the first phase in August 2024. Later, older flagships like the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 series will join the beta program along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5. Some mid-ranges like the Galaxy A55 and A35 may also join the beta program at latest this year.

One UI 7.0 Beta: When it’s coming?

Samsung will launch the One UI 7.0 beta program for Galaxy devices as soon as Google includes Android 15 OS in the stable channel. The Galaxy S24 series will be the early receivers of the new OS version in mid-August, however, with a stable release expected later this year. On the other hand, Android 15 beta will expand to multiple Android flagships from different manufacturers after I/O 2024. However, Samsung will not participate in Android’s original beta activity.

Google first introduced Android 15 Developer Preview 1 on February 16, followed by DP2 on March 21. According to the schedule, the Android 15 beta was released today, and beta 2 will be released in May, followed by beta 3 with platform stability in June, and beta 4 in July. Google Pixel phones are expected to get stable Android 15 in late August or early September this year.
