Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 FE, Z Fold 3, Note 20 get April 2024 update

After adding dozens of Galaxy devices to the One UI 6.1 offering, Samsung has started rolling out the April 2024 security update for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Note 20 series.

April 2024 security update: What’s new

As per the SMR, the April 2024 security patch includes patches from both Google and Samsung to address vulnerabilities and bugs affecting Android systems and Galaxy devices. Google containspatched 1 critical and 26 high-level CVEs for the Android operating system.

Additionally, the Android tech giant has also addressed 17 Samsung vulnerabilities and exposures (SVE) items to enhance security and fix issues related to Storage Manager service, out-of-bounds rights, and others.

Availability:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23 series: Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones are getting an April 2024 security update for locked models in the US with One UI build versions S911USQS2CXCN, S916USQS2CXCN, and S9158USQS2CXCN respectively.
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: April 2024 security update is currently available in Europe and users can identify it through One UI build version S711BXXS2CXD1.
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3: April 2024 security update for locked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 models in the US can verify the update through One UI build version F926USQS5HXD1.
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series: April 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones for unlocked in the US can be verified through the One UI build version N98xU1UES6HXD1.

How To Update

To update your Galaxy device to the latest update, you just need to go to System Settings, tap on Software Update, and select the Download and Install button. Once it completes the search and shows a new update, tap the Download button.
