For starters, Google has already launched two developer previews and one public beta of Android 15 for its Pixel handsets. In the meantime, a stable rollout is expected in late August or early September. For Realme devices, the Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 beta program is expected to start after I/O 2024 and is expected a stable version in Q4 2024.

Moving forward, the first beta of Android 15 was released in April 2024, giving details about the features coming to the OS. Android 15 brings edge-to-edge, seamless NFC experiences – Part 2, Inter-character justification, App archiving, app-managed profiling, and improved end-user experience.

On May 10, 2023, Google announced the Android 14 beta for select non-Pixel flagship devices from partner brands. Realme launched Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 and it was first released for the flagship Realme GT 2 Pro and gradually rolled out for more compatible devices. Therefore, the company may follow the same pattern this year.

Now let’s look at the device aspect. It’s a well-known fact that the latest flagships and top-end models will receive the Android 15 upgrade. Realme UI 6.0 – Expected Features:

The Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 beta update comes with several new features and improvements and offers users a more relevant performance compared to the current Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0. Additionally, some of the Android 15 features and improvements that were released in the developer preview and beta program, and will be released during Android 15 testing, will be included with the Realme UI 6.0 update.

Realme UI 6.0 – Expected Release Date

Google first introduced the Android 15 on Developer Preview 1 in February, followed by beta 1 on April 12. According to the schedule, the Beta 2 will be released in May 2024, hinting at an official rollout by August, similar to last year’s rollout.

As soon as Google seeds Android 15 OS to beta 2, Realme will begin the Realme UI 6.0 Beta program for Realme devices. The Realme GT5 Pro may be the initial receiver of the new OS version sometime in mid-May, however, a Stable release is expected later this year.
