Samsung is currently preparing to launch the sixth generation of its foldable phone, meanwhile, the company has started rolling out a new update for its first flip phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G smartphone, which brings improvements to the latest April 2024 security patch. This update is currently available for only 5G variants of the Flip smartphone in the US.

April 2024 Security Update Details:

The April 2024 security update includes patches from both Google and Samsung to address vulnerabilities and issues. Google has patched 1 critical and 26 high-level CVEs for the Android operating system to provide a bug-free experience.

Alongside Google, Samsung has also handled 17 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items to enhance security. It fixes issues related to the Storage Manager service, out-of-bounds rights, etc.

Galaxy users can manually check for new software updates with a few simple steps. First of all, go to “System Settings” on your Samsung device, once done, scroll down and tap on the “Software Update” tab, followed by the “Download and Install” button.
