Although Safari is the default browser for iOS, Chrome is working hard to create a better experience for iPhone users. This update of Chrome will improve the quality of life by introducing this update.
Previously, the menu bar was set according to “Show frequently used items first” on the device, but this update allows iPhone users to customize both the menu bar and the carousel. Yet, the carousel was constantly changing, which made it quite irritating. However, with this new update, users will be able to set the menu as per their choice. Here’s how you can customize your Chrome menu bar and Carousel on iPhone.
How to customize the Chrome menu bar on iPhone
- First open Google Chrome,
- Tap the three dots on the far right of the menu bar.
- This will take you to an overflow menu opening the carousel.
- Scroll down a bit, you will see the Customize menu option.
- Before the update, this option was named Show Frequently Used Items First.
- But now you can turn off the Smart Sort menu bar.
Plus, you can remove everything else from the carousel, except settings and site information:
- Bookmarks
- Downloads
- History
- Password Manager (which has a nice homescreen widget that opens the keyboard when tapped to let you search for stored credentials),
- Reading List
- Recent Tabs
- Track Price
- What’s New.
