With the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy device users have entered the era of Galaxy AI and these devices come pre-installed with an intermediate version of the custom skin. However, Samsung One UI 6.1 has taken the user experience to the next level with its cutting-edge features and capabilities like Live Translate. Now, Samsung announced that Live Translate will soon be coming to other third-party message apps to support voice calls on Android. Additionally, Samsung will “optimize” Galaxy AI features for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6.

According to Won-Joon Choi, EVP and Head of Mobile R&D Office, Samsung is soon expanding Live Translate to support voice calls in other third-party messaging apps by leveraging the power of Galaxy AI beyond Samsung’s own native calling app. So you can stay in touch with friends or colleagues while communicating in multiple languages on your favorite apps.

Expanding Live Translate, Samsung is committed to enabling users to communicate without language barriers while ensuring every conversation is secure and private. This AI-based live translation feature automatically translates voice calls, face-to-face conversations, and text messages into your preferred languages, so you can easily understand the person you are talking to.

However, there is no information yet about which “third-party” apps will be able to use Live Translate for calls, but some obvious apps include WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Meet, KakaoTalk, and more.
