The Korean firm will continue to release updates in the near future, especially when there are issues that need fixing. One such issue concerns the Gallery app, which has trouble editing photos on the Gallery app after transferring photos using the Smart Switch app.
Users have reported that this issue is particularly noticeable when photos edited in the Gallery app’s edit mode are not saved properly after the transfer. Samsung has stated that this issue will be fixed via an upcoming software update.

July Galaxy S24 update could fix the Gallery photo editing issue
Samsung has confirmed that a solution to Gallery photo editing issue is being developed and a software update will be released to fix it. Also, they suggest that when a software update pop-up appears, please update your device to the latest version. So, we can expect the July 2024 security update to fix this issue. Galaxy S24 users are advised to update their device to the latest firmware when it is available.

To update your Galaxy S24 device, go to Settings and then scroll down and select Software Update. If the firmware is available, tap Download and Install to begin updating your device.
