OPPO AI integrate into 50 million OPPO devices
Mr. Lee stated in a Mint interview that the business eventually wants all of its phones to have GenAI capabilities. By the end of this year, the first goal is to integrate Gen AI into 50 million OPPO devices.
The camera and photography industry would be one of GenAI’s applications. OPPO will “continue to integrate AI in enhancing the imaging experience,” according to Mr. Lee. Additionally, he emphasized the implementation of the AI Recording Summary function.
Later, more on that. The company plans to deliver over 100 features this year, of which these are just two. While OPPO hopes to make AI phone experiences more accessible to all, it is also making significant investments in its AI center to conduct research and develop cutting-edge ideas like multimodal technology, huge vision models, and in-house language models (which will be available starting in 2020). The business is in possession of more than 5,000 patents related to AI.
In addition to new capabilities, OPPO AI phones will have robust data security and privacy protocols.

With respect to sales volume, OPPO is the fourth-largest player in India, which is the world’s second-largest smartphone market. Additionally, the new mobile technologies are warmly welcomed by Indians, particularly the energetic youth. Given this, OPPO views India as a key market for its AI initiatives.
Mr. Lee uses the Reno 12 series’ implementation of the AI Recording Summary feature as an example. You may easily read a summary of call records with this function. You can share them with others or store them somewhere. More Indian languages will be added by the company to this function. It is also excited to collaborate with India.
