9to5Google has reported an issue where the lockscreen is effectively useless for managing notifications by constantly demanding authentication every time you tap after Android 15 beta 3.

Android 15 beta 3: Lockscreen issue occurs in the following situations:

When your device is locked, any tap or swipe on the lockscreen will open the PIN code screen and ask for authentication, for example tapping on notification actions like deleting in Gmail or expanding/swiping an alert — will immediately bring up authentication.

Google is not aware of the issue at the moment, but it is expected that the company will soon acknowledge it and resolve it with an upcoming software update. It’s worth noting that such technical issues are common after beta software updates that come with several new functionalities.

This issue requires them to unlock their phones multiple times, which is inconvenient considering how often we use our phones throughout the day.
