Google first introduced the Android 15 OS in Developer Preview 1 on February 16, followed by beta 3 on June 20. As per the schedule, the Android 15 official version will be released by August like last year’s rollout. Samsung’s next major software update, One UI 7.0, may be released in Q3 2024. It will be available for many Samsung flagship phones as well as mid-range phones.

In May 2024, Google expanded the Android 15 beta to select non-Pixel flagship devices from participating brands. Samsung, as usual, is missing the Android beta program, while the new version of Android OS is available for select devices launched by Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, iQOO, Lenovo, Tecno, Vivo, and Xiaomi.
As soon as Google seeds Android 15 OS to the Stable channel for Pixel devices, Samsung will begin the One UI 7.0 Beta program for flagship Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S24 series will be the initial receiver of the new OS version sometime in mid-August, however, a Stable release of One UI 7.0 is expected later this year.
