Last week, Google released Android 14 QPR3 beta 2 with many new features and improvements and this update has revealed upcoming accessibility features like sticky and bounce keys for physical keyboards. And we can expect Android 15 to bring Windows-style sticky keys to physical keyboards.
According to Mishal Rehman, when you connect physical keyboards to your smartphones, foldable, and tablets in Android 14 QPR3 beta 2, you can now enable two new accessibility options: “Sticky Keys” and “Bounce Keys,” suggesting that it could be included in Android 15.
Sticky keys make it easier to enter keyboard shortcuts one after the other. When you press a modifier key like Ctrl or Alt when sticky keys are enabled, it will remain pressed, so you don’t need to keep holding it down while you press other keys.
In addition to sticky keys, the beta also brings bounce keys, which are designed to ignore rapid consecutive key presses. Although these features are still in beta, their presence signals Google’s plans to improve Android’s keyboard functionality with the upcoming Android version.
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
