Background playback now coming to Chrome for Android

One of the features of the Google Chrome Mobile app is the “Listen to this – page” option, which lets you open a webpage and play the content like an audiobook. This option allows you to change the voice, read at a different pace, and navigate back and forth across the content using a Mini-player that appears at the bottom of the screen. To make it easier for you to follow along visually, the App also highlights the text that is being read out Loud. The sole  Constraint has been that this functionality necessitates maintaining the Chrome application open and active in order for the Background playback to proceed. This meant that the playback would stop if you closed or opened another app on your Screen.
