Android Authority discovered that Google Pixel and eligible device users will be able to use the Circle to Search feature as a barcode scanner, in an APK Teardown.

There is evidence of a barcode scanner capability for Circle to Search in the latest beta version of the Google app (15.19.45.29.arm64). Now, when you circle a barcode from your screen, it simply opens it from Google Search instead of scanning the circled barcode. In the future, this feature will work by scanning the circled barcode.
