Galaxy A13 5G May 2023 security patch update

Last month, Samsung released the May 2023 security patch to the Latin American Galaxy A13 4G model (SM-A135M). The business is now distributing the most recent security patch to the Galaxy A13 4G (SM-A135F) and Galaxy A13 5G (SM-A136B) worldwide models.

For the Galaxy A13 4G, the new software update has the firmware version A135FXXU4CWE5, while for the Galaxy A13 5G, it has the firmware version A136BXXS4CWE1. More than 70 security issues have been fixed in the most recent firmware’s May 2023 security patch. Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, and the Ukraine are currently receiving the new update for the Galaxy A13 4G, and Thailand is already getting the upgrade for the Galaxy A13 5G. Soon, the new version should also be available in other nations.

The Galaxy A13 4G and 5G were released in March 2022 and December 2021, respectively. While the LTE version debuted with Android 12 (One UI 4.1), the 5G model did so with Android 11 (One UI 3.1). Both devices now run Samsung’s Android 13 (One UI 5.1) upgrade. The Galaxy A13 5G might not receive Android 14 (One UI 6.0) because it has previously gotten two versions of Android. On the other hand, the Galaxy A13 4G might receive the next Android OS when it becomes available later in the year.

How to download the update?

You should try manually looking for the new firmware if your Galaxy A13 hasn’t previously informed you about the most recent software update. You can do that by selecting Download and install from the Settings > Software update menu.
