Samsung’s mid-range and high-end smartphones have already received the February 2024 update earlier this month. Now, Samsung has released its February 2024 security update for the Galaxy A71 5G, which was launched in 2021.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A71 5G in early 2021 with Android 11 out of the box. The phones received Android 12 and Android 13 updates in late 2021 and late 2022, respectively. But, the Galaxy A71 5G does not get the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update. This means that the device is getting a software update based on Android 13.
As you know, Samsung is preparing to introduce the latest One UI 6.1 for other Galaxy devices, which will include many new features including Galaxy AI. If you are thinking of upgrading your Galaxy A71 then you can buy a Galaxy S23 FE smartphone.
The Galaxy A71 5G February 2024 update comes with firmware version A716BXXS9FXA1 and is now available in Saudi Arabia and UAE. The company may expand to other countries and markets in the next few days or weeks.
According to Samsung, the February 2024 update for the Galaxy A71 5G smartphone addresses more than 75 security vulnerabilities present in older software versions. This update enhances system security and stability and also fixes some known issues to provide a better experience.
If you have a Galaxy A71 5G and you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the update via your device’s Settings >> Software Update >> Download & Install. The update is being rolled out slowly so it may take hours or days to reach all models.
