Samsung Galaxy S22 gets April 2024 software, One UI 6.1 is awaited

It’s time for One UI 6.1, but Samsung released the April 2024 security software update for the Galaxy S22 smartphones. US consumers can download and install the latest security patch now as it is available to consumers.

Samsung’s latest April Android patch includes fixes for a total of 44 vulnerabilities and exposures that were harming user privacy and security. More specifically, the update addresses 1 CVEs leveled Critical, and 26 CVEs leveled High.

With April 2024 software update, your Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphone is getting fixes for several bugs and threats. Since the company is yet to release the One UI 6.1 enhancements for your device, the latest security OTA is crucial.

One UI 6.1 firmware was introduced with the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024. All 2023 Galaxy flagships running Android 14 have received the One UI 6.1 update in various markets. Additionally, Samsung promised that this update will be coming to more Galaxy devices in the future.

The April 2024 update for the Galaxy S22 comes with One UI build version S90xUSQS4DXD2 and has been released for models locked to the T-Mobile network carrier in the US. You can download the latest update to get a better experience.

On your Galaxy device, access System Settings and scroll down and go to the Software Update tab. Once there, you should find another tab called “Download and Install”, tap on it. Now, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
