Galaxy S21 FE February 2024 update

Earlier today, Samsung released the February 2024 security update to the Galaxy M33 smartphone. Now, the new February 2024 software update is rolling out to the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy S21 FE Exynos variants in India. This patch brings security improvements with the latest patches to fix known vulnerabilities.

The February 2024 security update for the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy S21 FE Exynos variants is now available in India and it comes with firmware version S711BXXS2BXA8 and G990EXXU7FWK5. More countries may get access to this software update for the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy S21 FE Exynos variants in the coming weeks.

This update includes the February 2024 security patch that fixes 72 security vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the software. However, the new update does not include any new features or performance improvements, and you can expect new features to arrive on Galaxy S23 FE with the One UI 6.1 update.

This morning, Samsung officially announced the release of the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S23 FE in late March 2024 along with the Galaxy S23 series. The update comes with a bundle of improvements, features, and Galaxy AI. Galaxy AI includes Chat Assist, Live Translation, Interpreter, Circle to search with Google, Note Assist, Browsing Assist, and Transcript Assist.

Additionally, the February 2024 security maintenance release mentions fixes for more than 70 vulnerability exposures from Google and Samsung software. Thus, we suggest that you upgrade your device to the latest version as soon as the patch reaches you.

If you have the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy S21 FE Exynos variant and you live in India, you can check for the update by going to the Settings app of your smartphone and opening the Software Update section. Now, click on the Download and Install option, if there is an update available, you can follow the on-screen instructions to install the update on your Galaxy smartphone.
