Samsung has extended the April 2024 security update to the Galaxy S23 series models in Canada. Users can identify the update through One UI build version S91xWVLS2CXCN and installation package of 415MB.

On March 28, Samsung started rolling out the One UI 6.1 update for all 2023 flagships, including the Galaxy S23 series. One UI 6.1 came with the March 2024 security patch, and Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphone users are now following a new update that brings the latest April 2024 security patch.
Notably, this latest security update has already been rolled out to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5, and Tab S9 series, which also started receiving One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI features in late March.

Galaxy S23 gets April 2024 security update following One UI 6.1
Many Galaxy devices received the latest April 2024 security update in just a few weeks, and a similar update is now available for the Galaxy S23 series. Galaxy S23 owners in Europe can download the latest security update by opening their phone’s Settings app, navigating to Software Update, and selecting Download and Install.
The new Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra come with firmware build numbers S911BXXS3CXD2, S916BXXS3CXD2, and S918BXXS3CXD2 respectively. It should become available in all European countries in the next few days.
If you’re Galaxy devices running One UI 6.1 and experiencing some issues, don’t expect them to be resolved with the April update, as it only brings security improvements.
The April 2024 security update includes fixes from Google and Samsung. Google’s update fixes 27 CVEs in the Android OS. Additionally, the Korean tech giant has enhanced device security by addressing 17 specific vulnerabilities. The firmware also improves system security and stability to provide a better and enhanced experience
