After the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S22, Samsung first started rolling out the May 2024 security update for the Galaxy S23 series on models locked to certain network carriers in the US. Now, the update is available in India and Europe, and may soon be available in other regions as well. This new update installs the latest Android security patches to improve system security and stability.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series users can identify the May 2024 security update by following the One UI build version and installation package size of around 400MB.
- Europe: S91xBXXS5CXDF
- Locked US: S9x6USQS3CXD7
- India: S91xBXXS5CXDE
According to the Samsung May 2024 security patch description, the May 2024 patch fixes 45 vulnerabilities, of which Google has addressed 33. Out of 33 CEVs 3 vulnerabilities as critical and 26 as high-level. The patch also has 25 Samsung-specific enhancements.
This is just an OTA update, so there are no new builds or changes introduced in this security tutorial. The update is rolling out slowly so it may take some time to reach all models and all countries.

If you have a Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra and you live in the location mentioned above, you can now check for the May 2024 update. To do this, launch the Settings app on your Galaxy device, go to Software Update, and tap Download and Install.
