Although there is genuine enthusiasm over Samsung’s new foldables, which go on sale late next month, it’s fair to say that as we go towards the second half of the year, Android 14 and the One UI 6.0 upgrade are the most fascinating things to look forward to for Samsung fans.
Similar to prior years, the most recent Galaxy S flagships will almost certainly be the first to receive this year’s significant Android upgrade. In reality, the Galaxy S23 Ultra running Android 14 software appeared on the Geekbench test website earlier today, confirming that.
The first Android 14 test build for the Galaxy S23 Ultra has firmware number S918USQU1ZWFA, which has finally been exposed by some keen observers. The benchmark provided no information on the firmware. Yes, that information is not really thrilling, but it does suggest that as the beta programme that will allow Galaxy S23 customers to test the new software draws nearer, additional information regarding Android 14 and One UI 6.0 may start to surface online.
The third week of July, when the firm is expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9, and Galaxy Watch 6, is when Samsung is expected to launch the One UI 6.0 beta programme, as we recently revealed. However, you should be aware that delays can — and frequently do — occur when software changes are involved, so nothing is final just yet.
For the time being, the only thing that is certain is that the Galaxy S23 range will begin receiving the stable One UI 6.0 upgrade before the year is over. In fact, if history is any indication, Samsung will certainly roll out One UI 6.0 to every compatible flagship phone before 2024.
