Galaxy S24 May 2024 Update

After releasing the SMR, Samsung has taken the initiative to release the May 2024 security update, of which the Galaxy S24 series is the first to receive it. The new One UI firmware installs the latest Android security patches to improve system security and stability.

Currently, the rollout is underway for locked models of the Galaxy S24 series on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile network carriers in the United States and some Europe countries. Samsung Galaxy S24 series users are receiving May 2024 protection in the above countries via the following One UI build numbers:

Samsung May 2024 Update:

According to the Samsung May 2024 security patch description, this update fixes 45 security vulnerabilities, 33 of which are provided by Google. Of those 33 CEVs, 3 have been tagged as ‘Critical’, 1 as ‘Moderate’, while 26 have been tagged as ‘High’ in severity. Further, 2 patches are for bugs that do not apply to Galaxy devices and 1 CEV fix is for a bug that Samsung fixed in an April 2024 security update.

Samsung aims to expand the availability of the May 2024 security update to more countries soon, so that Galaxy users around the world can get the latest protection against security vulnerabilities.

If an update notification appears on your Galaxy smartphone, install it for a better, bug-free experience. You can manually check the update by going to your smartphone’s Settings, choosing the Software Update section, and clicking ‘Download and Install’.
