Galaxy S25 could use Gemini Nano version 2

Samsung introduced its own version of Generative AI called Galaxy AI with the Galaxy S24 series, which offers a set of features that improve the daily driving experience of the company’s flagships. Meanwhile, Korean tech giant Samsung is expected to support Gemini Nano V2 for generic AI in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series instead of Gemini Ultra, which is also available.

Google and Samsung have long shared deep values around the importance of making technology more useful and accessible to everyone. We expect the Galaxy S25 series to be the first smartphone equipped with Gemini Nano v2.

The latest information suggests that Samsung is again collaborating with Google to integrate the Gemini Nano V2 (AI model) into the Galaxy S25 series. A report says that the Korean tech giant has recently started a related association with Google for on-device and generative AI development of the Galaxy S25.

As part of these AI features, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will also use more advanced AI features, an on-device LLM delivered as part of the Android 15 operating system, the most efficient model of Gemini for on-device tasks.

With the latest version of Gemini, Samsung users can leverage Google Cloud’s world-class infrastructure, cutting-edge performance and flexibility to deliver secure, reliable and engaging generic AI-powered applications on Samsung smartphone devices.

Last week, at Google’s Cloud Next 2024 conference, Oppo and OnePlus said they are working with Google to integrate cloud AI into their upcoming products, which means users can use it to summarize news articles, prepare audio, and create social media content.
