Google is rolling out a translation feature to Circle to Search: Here’s how it works

If you’re traveling somewhere and don’t know the local language, it can be challenging to understand even basic information. To solve this inconvenience, Google is releasing a new beta update for Google Apps, which brings new feature for language translation in the recently launched Circle to Search tool.

Google announced last week that Circle to Search will be adding a new button that lets you instantly translate whatever is on your screen.

How to use translation feature on Circle to Search

To use the in-line translation feature in the Circle to Search tool, will not even require users to draw a circle on the screen. Instead, the users have to long-press the navigation bar or home button and tap for a translation icon. When activated, the tool will translate the entire screen with one long press.

Circle to Search

Circle to Search is a new way to find anything on your Android phone without switching apps. Now, with a simple gesture, you can select what you’re curious about, using whatever comes inherently to you – like circling, highlighting, writing, or tapping – and learn more right where you are.

Circle to Search supported device list:

Circle to Search launched January 31 on select premium Android smartphones — the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and the new Samsung Galaxy S24 series — in all languages and locations where they’re available. Now, expanding to more flagship devices including Pixel 6 series, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 series, Pixle 7a, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
