In what seems to be a very limited rollout, Google Messages is testing the Gemini AI feb button, which will allow the user to start a conversation with Gemini directly. According to a report, the platform that tracks upcoming features in Google Messages, select users can now use the Gemini AI chatbot through the APK teardown.

Google Messages is testing Gemini AI fab button
According to AndroidAuthority, Google Messages has received support for the Gemini AI chatbot. It has been merged into the Messages app as a contact available for chat and AI-generated responses. You can see the image below, the button will be available on the app’s home screen, above the existing FAB button, to start a new chat directly to the chatbot.
With this button, users can ask questions to the Gemini AI chatbot assistant. It is powered by a large language model (LLM) and can respond to user’s queries.
According to the report, the messages.android_20240610_01_RC00.version of the Google Messages app has brought evidence of Gemini Fab. This Gemini feb button has not yet been activated for general users, but it has been confirmed through the report. However, according to the report, this AI Chatbot is expected to be gradually rolled out to users in the coming months.
