Many Galaxy users have started complaining of display issues after installing a software update, with green or pink lines appearing on their phones. The Green line issue is not limited to Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S20 FE phones or models. This appears to be widespread, and we’ve seen this issue on the Galaxy A73, Galaxy M21, Galaxy M52 5G, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S22 series, and the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Some Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S20 FE users claim that the issue appeared after installing One UI 6.0 or the April 2024 security update.

According to the information, the green or pink line issue is a hardware fault, which cannot be caused by software alone. In the past, Samsung has also offered free screen replacement for select models, so, there is no other way to address this. Software-related errors can be fixed by a hard reset, but not hardware-related errors.

Notably, the green line issue appeared mostly on Exynos-powered Galaxy devices. This could be caused by overheating, which gets worse when you install a new software update on a Galaxy phone.
