Samsung has released a new update for the Galaxy M53 device, which comes with the latest security patch in the form of a May 2024 update. This update aims to provide some security-related enhancements for the device. This update is based on Android 14-based One UI 6.1 firmware.

A few weeks ago, Samsung Galaxy M53 5G users received the major One UI 6.1 update. It adds new features and improvements to the Gallery, Calendar, Widgets, Lock Screen, Security, Clock, and more apps to provide a seamless and smooth experience.

As per the official documents, there are more than 50 improvements; 33 are added by Google, which improve the functions associated with the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung has also introduced 25 more functions to improve the Galaxy device.
The May 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G smartphone is currently rolling out in Brazil. This is an early rollout, so it may take a few days or weeks to reach all models. The update comes with One UI build version M536BXXS6EXE1 and the update package size is 250M.
As usual, the monthly security patch update only brings some new security updates, which will not bring any new features or changes but it will provide some enhancements to the internal functionality of the device to strengthen its security.

If you use the Galaxy M53 in the countries mentioned above, you will start receiving the new update. To check for the update, go to the Software Update menu from the system settings and wait until the update is available. If the update is available, tap on the Download button.
