More Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5 users receiving April 2024 security update

Samsung rolled out the April 2024 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 a few days ago and released it in some European countries. Now the company is making this update available in other countries including the US.

April 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones in the US can be verified through the following One UI build versions:

The April 2024 security update details security patches from both Google and Samsung to address vulnerabilities and issues. Google has released patches for 1 critical and 26 high-level CVEs for the Android operating system.

Along with Google, Samsung has also addressed 17 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items to improve security, fix issues related to the Storage Manager service, out-of-bounds rights, and others.

According to the information, the April 2024 security patch is available for unlocked models of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 on almost all carriers including T-Mobile in the US while locked models are receiving it on the Verizon network carrier in the US.

To manually check for security updates, go to your phone’s Settings. Scroll down and find the Software Update section, just open it. If your Galaxy device receives a new OTA then inside the submenu, you need to press the Download and Install button.
