My Files app: Permanently delete files on your Galaxy phone

If you delete files from the Galaxy My Files app they go to the trash, there is no feature yet if you want to delete files permanently. For this inconvenience, Samsung is rolling out a new update for the My Files app, which includes a new experimental features set called ” My Files Labs.”

The Samsung My Files app stores every file on your phone or tablet. It’s like File Explorer on PC or Finder on Mac, where you can easily view and move photos, videos, music, documents, and more.

Permanently delete files at once using the Galaxy My Files app

According to the information, the Korean tech giant released the latest version (15.0.04.5) of the My Files app bringing a hidden feature called MyFiles Labs.

Here You can find the ‘Permanently Delete Option’ setting alongside Data History, Files Operation History, Media Files Pending Status, Original Files of Edited Images/Videos, and Reorganize Folders in that section.

Once you Activate the ‘Permanently Delete Option’ enables an extra option in the pop-up menu when you delete files using the My Files app. When you select it, the file will be deleted permanently from your Galaxy device, and you don’t have to go to the Recycle Bin section to delete it permanently.

Along with new functionalities, this update also resolves various issues reported in previous releases. Additionally, it enhances some features to provide a better file management experience.
