After rolling out the Galaxy S23 series and fifth generation Foldable, Samsung has started rolling out the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update and Galaxy AI features to its flagship tablet series, the Galaxy Tab S9. The incremental update brings a host of new features, improvements, and security enhancements to the Galaxy devices.
The One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI updates for Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra devices can be identified by the One UI version number ending with BXC9. The update is currently available in some Europe countries and the company will expand it soon.
Based on Android 14, One UI 6.1 offers a refreshed design, better animations, better privacy controls, better multitasking, and more customization options. Additionally, it brings the March 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability.
Additionally, One UI 6.1 also introduces Galaxy AI features, highlighting Samsung Internet, Gallery, Voice Recorder, Call, Message, and many other smart functions that use AI to provide a better and more intuitive experience. Notably, the Galaxy Tab S9 series update doesn’t include the Galaxy AI Live Translate feature.
Users will have to download approximately 2.9GB package to install the update on their tabs. To check for updates, users can tap on Settings >> Software Update >> Download & Install. If you have received the update, install it now to enjoy the new AI features on your Galaxy Tab S9.
