Samsung is rolling out the March 2024 security patch for its Galaxy devices, but is also working on the next version of its custom Android skin, One UI 6.1. Now, the company has started testing One UI 6.1 for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G, a flagship smartphone slated to launch in January 2022.
According to a screenshot that surfaced on X (via tarunvats33), a test build of One UI 6.1 has been spotted on the test server for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G. The testing is going on with the firmware version G990BXXU6GXC4 and testing is underway for the European market.
The Galaxy S21 FE 5G is not the only device that Samsung is testing One UI 6.1 on. The company is also testing the latest version of One UI on several other Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold5/Flip5, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 series, the Galaxy A73, the Galaxy A53, Galaxy M33, the Galaxy A52s, Galaxy A25, and more.
One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI features are confirmed to launch this month, initially for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
However, Samsung has not yet announced the official release date of the latest One UI version update for other Galaxy devices including the Galaxy S21 FE. However, estimates are that deployment could begin in late April or early May.
