One UI 6.1 was unveiled with the Galaxy S24 series and the 2023 older flagships have already received this update in March and have been eagerly awaited by users of older Samsung devices since then.

Samsung devices that will get the latest version of One UI early next month are the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Z Fold 4, and the Tab S8 series. While other compatible devices may have to wait till June or July. The source also expects the Galaxy S21 series to get One UI 6.1 along with the April 2024 security update in Canada.

However, if One UI 6.1 is further delayed, Samsung may skip One UI 6.1 for some Galaxy devices and instead update them directly to One UI 7.0 later this year. Because some Android manufacturers may start Android 15 beta testing on their flagship devices in mid-May after Google I/O.

Samsung also confirmed features that Galaxy AI will bring to the Galaxy S22 series, Z Flip 4, Z Fold 4, and Tab S8 series. The list includes Circle to Search, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion and AI-Generated Wallpaper.
