On Samsung phones, users currently perform a two-tap task to access the extended Quick Settings which might be simplified to one tap with the One UI 7 update. There are rumors that Samsung may make subsequent changes to the home screen swipe functionality in the upcoming update.

According to a Korean community moderator, Samsung is considering introducing a one-touch Quick Settings panel with One UI 7 update. Presently, swiping down once from the home screen reveals the Notification panel and key Quick Setting toggles.
A second swipe on the notification panel opens the Quick Settings panel, giving access to all necessary toggles and settings. Pagination extends the usability of the Quick Settings panel.
Samsung’s One UI 7 update enables users to directly access the Quick Settings panel by swiping on the top right corner. Using Good Lock’s QuickStar users can customize the feature to bring up the full panel by swiping down anywhere on the screen.
There is no confirmation that all these changes will be there in the One UI 7 update. The One UI Home and Good Lock’s QuickStar app both need to be modified from the developer’s end. Nonetheless, we expect Samsung to adopt such changes to enhance user experience.
