OnePlus 12R is missing Verizon support, but coming soon

OnePlus launched the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R last month with a number of upgrades and at the time, OnePlus partnered with Verizon and T-Mobile, which allowed its phones to land on store shelves.

The OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R support all bands from the three major US carriers. However, the OnePlus 12 apparently has Green Signal status with Verizon, while the 12R does not. This would mean that, for now, the latest R series smartphone OnePlus 12R will not work on the Verizon network, even if it has the proper band support.

According to the information, the latest issue came to the news when a user on the XDA-Developer forum reported that his OnePlus 12 phones worked perfectly on Verizon, but the OnePlus 12R did not. User revealed that Verizon “VPs” confirmed the OnePlus 12’s permission list on their network, but did not extend the same status to the OnePlus 12R. OnePlus has acknowledged these connectivity issues with Verizon but hasn’t provided any details about it.

OnePlus has said that it is actively working with Verizon to investigate and resolve these connectivity issues for OnePlus 12R devices. However, the company has not given details as to when the problem will be resolved.

Notably, this connectivity issue does not affect the OnePlus 12R’s compatibility with other major carriers like T-Mobile or AT&T in the US. The problem appears to be specific to Verizon’s network and will soon be resolved in the coming days.
