Literally 6100 mAh seems to be impressive, imagine the hype of 7000 mAh battery. Surf all day without worrying about plugging in your phones. On paper, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro offers a lengthy battery life thanks to its flagship performance and 6,100mAh battery. But the Chinese company might not stop here, OnePlus is working on a 7000mAh battery for its smartphones, is rumored.

On Weibo, prolific leaker Digital Chat Station stated that OnePlus and OPPO are now developing a 7000mAh battery. Additionally, the tipster’s post implies that it might show up in a mid-range phone.
This wouldn’t be the first phone with a 7000mAh battery; some popular phones, such the Samsung Galaxy F62 and Galaxy M51, have similarly large batteries. Even hefty phones with 10,000mAh or even 20,000mAh batteries have been offered by niche players. However, the designs of all these phones have often been hefty and bulky. Thus, in recent years, the majority of popular Android phones have generally had a 5,000mAh battery life.
OnePlus, however, recently promoted a silicon-based battery as a component of the Ace 3 Pro’s purported Glacier Battery technology. Compared to conventional batteries, silicon-based batteries usually have a higher density, which enables higher capacity in a smaller cell. Specifically, the Ace 3 Pro weighs only 207 grams and has a thickness of less than 9 mm. Therefore, it makes sense that the thickness and weight of a phone with a 7,000mAh silicon battery wouldn’t significantly increase.

Not all phone manufacturers use silicon-based batteries, including OnePlus. Other competitors like Xiaomi and HONOR have also introduced phones that use this technology. Thus, the next gadget you buy might have a bigger battery or one with the same capacity but a smaller form factor.
